Details:
A 16-year-old male from Clyde was killed and three other teenagers injured in a crash on North 1st Street in Merkel, TX. Officers from the Merkel Police Department report the crash happened around 7:04 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025.
A 16-year-old female was driving the sedan when it collided with an SUV attempting to turn left into Humphries Village. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle before being airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The male passenger would be pronounced dead the following day.
