Details:
23-Year-Old construction worker James Harper was killed when he was struck by a tractor-trailer while working on the West Virginia Turnpike in Kanawha County, WV. Troopers from the West Virginia State Police say the accident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025.
A Turnpike construction crew was patching the center lane of the interstate with the right lane closed at the time of the accident. 28-Year-Old Anvar Sabirov, the driver of the tractor-trailer, attempted to avoid the workers, but his trailer travelled into the work zone, striking Harper.
Sabirov has been charged with vehicular manslaughter for his role in the accident.
