Details:
A 35-Year-Old woman was killed and a 32-Year-Old man injured after their car crashed into the rear of a fire truck at Hudson Avenue and Avenue D in Rochester, NY. Officers with the Rochester Police Department say the crash took place around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Officials from the Rochester Fire Department say the fire truck was stopped for an earlier incident at the 800 block of Hudson. The Volvo was travelling north when it collided with the fire engine, which was unoccupied at the time.
Both occupants of the Volvo were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
