A 44-Year-Old Ocala man was killed in a rear-end collision with a water tanker truck on State Road 44 in Citrus County, FL. Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol say the crash occurred around 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Initial reports indicate the GMC was travelling west along SR 44 when his vehicle reportedly veered into the rear of the tanker truck. The tanker truck was spraying water on the grass in the center of the median at the time of the accident. The driver of the GMC was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was uninjured. Investigation into the accident is ongoing.
