A 59-Year-Old Lowden man was killed after his vehicle was struck from behind by a semi-truck on Highway 30 at Taylor Avenue in Cedar County, IA. Troopers from the Iowa State Patrol say the accident took place on the afternoon of Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Reports show the 2015 Malibu was turning left from Taylor Avenue onto Highway 30 when it was struck from behind by the semi. The car travelled across the roadway and came to a stop in a nearby ditch. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the semi-truck driver, 27-Year-Old Adam Wiese, was uninjured. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
