On or about Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021, around 4:22 in the afternoon, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer sent a 30-year-old man to the hospital. Troopers from the Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Highway 598 on the overpass spanning Route 30 in Galion, Ohio.
Police said a tractor-trailer driven by 60-year-old Paprotskyi Orest allegedly failed to yield and struck a Honda CRV driven by 30-year-old Brett Yingling. Paramedics rushed Yingling to a nearby hospital before he was airlifted to Grant Hospital in Columbus. Orest was cited for failure to yield in connection with the crash.
Galion is situated in Craford County, about 94 miles southwest of Cleveland, according to Google Maps.
State and local police are investigating the incident.
