    Details:

    UPDATE 2/12/2021: Police have since identified Tiffany Louann Gerred, Michael Henry Wells, Christopher Ray Vardy, and William Darrell Williams were four of the people killed in the massive pileup accident. Police have not yet released the name of the sixth victim.

    ORIGINAL STORY:

    On or about Thursday, February 11th, 2021, around 6:30 in the morning, an accident between over 70 vehicles, including several tractor-trailers left six people dead and sent dozens of others to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened in the 2500 block of Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, Texas.

    Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said 45-year-old Aaron Luke Wilson and five others were killed when dozens of cars and 18-wheelers collided in a chain-reaction accident that began under unknown conditions. Paramedics transported at least 36 people to area hospitals with unknown injuries. Watson and five others were pronounced dead a short time after the crash.

    Department of Public Safety Troopers took several hours to free victims that were trapped in the massive pileup wreckage. All the lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours following the incident.

    Representatives from both state and local law enforcement are investigating the crash at this time.
