On or about Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, around 6:30 in the evening, a serious single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident left one man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 84 in Lubbock County, Texas.
Deputies from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office said 48-year-old Abraham Herrera was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving allegedly veered off the side of the roadway and crashed along Highway 84. Emergency responders pronounced Herrera dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance northwest of Shallowater.
Police are still investigating the accident.
