On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, around 9:00 at night, a major tractor-trailer accident claimed the life of a 62-year-old Red Oak, Texas man. Troopers from the OHP said the accident was reported along Highway 69 just outside Stringtown in Atoka County, Oklahoma.
Officials from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 62-year-old Adelbert Bellinger was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving crashed under unspecified circumstances while driving down Highway 69. Paramedics pronounced Bellinger dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries or vehicles in their statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Stringtown, which is about 133 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
