Details:
On or about Sunday, April 11th, 2021, around 10:15 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a Pace bus left a 42-year-old woman dead. Police said the accident was reported at the intersection of 107th Street and 88th Avenue in Palos Hills, Illinois.
Authorities said 42-year-old Agata Gorz was killed when she was allegedly struck by a bus while she was walking at or near the intersection. Police did not specify where Gorz was standing in relationship to the roadway at the time of the accident. Paramedics pronounced Gorz dead of her injuries a short time after she was hit.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of 107th Street and 88th Avenue is about 23 miles southwest of downtown Chicago.
Deputies from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the accident.
