On or about Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, around 11:30 in the morning, a tree trimming accident with a bucket truck left one man dead and sent another to the hospital. Law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported in the 2200 block of Oakwood Lane in Abilene, Texas.
Officials said 31-year-old Alan James Maxey was killed and another as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured while they were allegedly working in a bucket truck and came into contact with live electrical lines. Maxey was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Oakwood Lane is a residential street situated on the southwest side of Abilene.
