On or about Thursday, January 28th, 2021, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left a 9-year-old boy dead and sent one person to the hospital. Investigators said the accident happened along Interstate 88 near Downers Drive in Dupage County, Illinois.
Officers said 9-year-old Alexander Solis and one other person were injured when the car they were in and an 18-wheeler collided under unspecified circumstances. Paramedics transported Solis and the other individual to a nearby hospital where Solis died of his injuries several days later. The other person was last reported in critical condition by medial staff.
