On or about Thursday, May 12th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between two pickup trucks left one person dead and sent two others to the hospital. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 64 in Smith County, Texas.
Texas DPS officials said 31-year-old Alexander Woods was killed, while Becky Brown and Wayne Whitworth were injured when the pickup trucks they were in allegedly collided head-on when one of them veered over the center line of the roadway and struck the other in the oncoming lanes of traffic. Emergency responders pronounced Woods dead a short time after the accident,
