On or about Friday, December 31st, 2021, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 15-year-old girl. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident was reported at the intersection of West 6th Street and Washington Street in Jamestown, New York.

Officials from the area said 15-year-old Alexis Hughan was killed when she was allegedly by a tractor-trailer as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic at the intersection of West 6th Street and Washington Street. The tractor-trailer did not stay at the scene, but the driver did stop a short distance down the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced Hughan dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.

Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Randall Rolison.

According to Google Maps, the town of Jamestown is about 70 miles south of downtown Buffalo in the southwest corner of New York.

Authorities are still working to pin down what happened in the accident.
