Alexis Vega was killed after being struck by a tractor-trailer on I-77 near Chesapeake, WV, on Sunday, January 5, 2025. West Virginia State Police report Vega initially collided with a concrete median, and had exited her vehicle when another driver stopped to assist her. A tractor-trailer then collided with the second vehicle and Vega, who was later pronounced dead. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
