Details:
On or about Saturday, January 8th, 2022, sometime in the hours after dark, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left three people dead. Troopers from the FHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 75 in Pasco County, Florida.
Spokespeople from the Florida Highway Patrol said 53-year-old Danielle Prieto, 57-year-old Alfred Prieto, and 16-year-old Antonio Prieto were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly attempted to change lanes and struck the Prieto’s vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced Danielle, Alfred, and Antonio Prieto dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 75 runs north and south through Pasco County.
Officals are still working to pin down all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
