On or about Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, around 6:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian at a dry dock left a 51-year-old man dead. Police from the area said the accident was reported behind the Sam’s Club on Shepard Road in Normal, Illinois.
Officers said 51-year-old Allen Liesman was killed when he was pinned against a dry dock at Sam’s Club on Shepard Road by a backing tractor-trailer. Emergency responders pronounced Liesman dead of his injuries a short time after the collision. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Normal is about 132 miles southeast of downtown Chicago.
Officials are still working to determine what happened in the accident.
