On or about Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, around 9:13 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 44-year-old Aliceville man dead. Representatives from the ALEA said the accident was reported along County Road 60 just outside Union in Greene County, Alabama.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokespeople said 44-year-old Alphinex L. Clark was killed when the Dodge Charger he was driving allegedly collided with a portion of a parked tractor-trailer that was sticking out into the lanes of traffic on County Road 60. Paramedics pronounced Clark dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 4 miles north of Union, which is about 86 miles southwest of downtown Birmingham.
