Alyssa Aldrete, Alexis Coker Killed in Box Truck Accident on I-65 in Bowling Green

Details:
On or about Monday, April 15th, 2021, around 9:30 at night, an accident between a box truck, a car, and a tractor-trailer left two women and a truck driver dead. Troopers from the KSP said the accident was reported on the southbound side of Interstate 65 near the Cemetery Road exit in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Investigators said a box truck driven by 36-year-old Donald Kabwenge allegedly slammed into the back of a Nissan Altima driven by 22-year-old Alyssa Aldrete. After the initial collision, the Altima was crushed against the back of a tractor-trailer. Paramedics pronounced Aldrete and her passenger, 21-year-old Alexis Coker, dead at the scene. Kabwenge was also killed.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident near Cemetery Road is on the northeast side of Bowling Green.
Kentucky State Police assisted at the scene of the accident.
