On or about Sunday, July 3rd, 2022, around 7:25 in the morning, a serious two-vehicle car accident left a 23-year-old woman dead. Representatives from the County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along North Grandview Avenue in Odessa, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 23-year-old Alyssa McDowell was killed when the vehicle she was in allegedly crossed over the center line of North Grandview Avenue and hit a pickup truck in oncoming traffic. McDowell died of her injuries a short time after the crash, while a passenger in the vehicle and the driver of the pickup truck were treated for injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is in the 6100 block of North Grandview Avenue.
Police are still looking into the crash.
