On or about Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 50-year-old woman. Troopers from the OHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 44 near the exchange with Yale Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Troopers from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 50-year-old Amanda Thomas was killed when the car she was in and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances on I-44. Emergency responders pronounced Thomas dead of her injuries a short time after the collision, but authorities did not specify if she died at the scene or if she was taken to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the east side of Tulsa.
Officials are still working to determine the cause of the accident.
