On or about Thursday, April 14th, 2022, a serious hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 45-year-old woman dead. Representatives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 6 in Houston, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Houston Police Department said 45-year-old Amoreena Bell was killed when she was allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Highway 6. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced Bell dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the intersection with Pine Forest Lane.
Authorities are still trying to track down the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
