On or about Saturday, June 25th, 2022, around 2:00 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 49-year-old woman dead. Spokespeople from the PSP said the accident was reported along Route 222 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
Representatives from the Pennsylvania State Police said 49-year-old Amy Freytiz was killed when the vehicle she was driving allegedly hit the back of a tractor-trailer along Route 222. Emergency responders pronounced Freytiz dead of her injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if she died at the scene or if she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after hear arrival.
According to Google Maps, Ephrata is situated in central Pennsylvania.
Local law enforcement officials are still investigating.
