On or about Monday, October 5th, 2020, 56-year-old Amy Spencer was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck several vehicles that had either stopped or slowed for traffic in Cecil County, Maryland.
State Troopers have said that Spencer was in a passenger vehicle in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 when traffic slowed. At this time, police allege that a red tractor-trailer failed to slow for traffic and struck several vehicles, including Spencer’s. Six other people sustained injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
Investigators have not confirmed the reason the tractor-trailer couldn’t stop. Was there a problem with brakes? Was there some other factor not mentioned by police?
