Details:
On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, around 4:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a heavy-duty work truck and a car sent a 53-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported in the 5300 block of Interstate 35 in Laredo, Texas.
Texas DPS representatives said 53-year-old Ana Delia Arriaga and 12-year-old Ixatlali Anahli Moreno were injured when a Ford F-750 work truck allegedly slammed into the back of the car they were in. Paramedics transported Arriaga and Moreno to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Police identified the driver of a work truck as Jose De Jesus Solorzano, who was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 35 runs north and south through Laredo, with the scene of the accident a short distance north of downtown Laredo.
Police are still working to pin down exactly what may have led to the accident.
