Details:
On or about Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, around 5:35 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a garbage truck left a 59-year-old woman dead. Investigators from the area said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Spring Hill Road and Route 34 in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
Police officers said 59-year-old Anastasia A. Arthur was killed when the passenger vehicle she was driving was allegedly struck by a garbage truck that could not stop in time. Emergency responders pronounced Arthur dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their initial report on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 27 miles south of downtown Newark.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
