On or about Thursday, February 25th, 2021, around 12:00 in the morning, an accident between a commercial van and a disabled tractor-trailer left two men dead. Officials from the ISP said the accident happened on the westbound side of Interstate 465 near the exchange with Michigan Road in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Law enforcement said 33-year-old Andrew Blackwell and 25-year-old Brenden Harper were killed when the commercial van they were in allegedly collided with the back of a disabled tractor-trailer on the shoulder of Interstate 465. Emergency responders pronounced Harper dead at the scene, while Blackwell was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Indiana Department of Transportation closed all the westbound lanes for nearly six hours in order to tend to the scene of the crash.

State and local police are investigating the incident.
