Details:
On or about Sunday, February 13th, 2022, a serious two-vehicle accident with a wrong-way driver left two people dead. Officers from the EPPD said the accident was reported along Spur 601 in El Paso, Texas.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers said 33-year-old Andrew James Romaine and 51-year-old Lorraine Quintana were killed when Romaine’s vehicle allegedly struck Quintana’s head-on while driving the wrong direction on Spur 601. Emergency responders pronounced Romaine dead at the scene, while Quintana was rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Sergeant Major Boulevard.
Police are still investigating the accident.
