On or about Monday, March 8th, 2021, around 10:05 in the morning, an accident between a dump truck and an SUV claimed the life of a 48-year-old woman. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Department said the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 77 and Ridgeland Drive in Fremont, Nebraska.
Nebraska State Police said 48-year-old Angela Guarin was killed when her Chevrolet Tahoe allegedly slammed into the back of a dump truck that was waiting to turn onto Ridgeland Drive from northbound Highway 77. Emergency responders pronounced Guarin dead of her injuries a short time after the collision. Police identified the driver of the dump truck as Gregory Goree, who did not report serious injury following the crash.
According to Google Maps, Fremont is located about 41 miles northwest of Omaha.
Police expect to release more information as soon as it becomes available.
