Details:
On or about February 11th, 2022, around 7:30 at night, a hit-and-run accident with an alleged drunk driver claimed the life of a 50-year-old woman. Officers from the MPD said the accident was reported along Hynson Springs Road in Marshall, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 50-year-old Angela Reena Flamer was killed when she was allegedly struck by two pickup trucks while she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of traffic along Hynson Springs Road. After the initial accident, one of the pickup trucks fled the scene. Paramedics pronounced Flamer dead a short time after the accident.
Authorities charged the other pickup truck driver, identified as 78-year-old Thomas Earl Jackson with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the incident.
Officials are still trying to find the other driver and pickup truck that fled the scene.
