On or about Wednesday, November 10th, 2021, around 1:22 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle claimed the life of a 25-year-old Bloomington man. Troopers from the MSP said the accident was reported along Highway 47 near the exchange with 199th Avenue in Anoka County, Minnesota.
Deputies from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Department said 25-year-old Antwa-Demaylia Hughes was killed when the car they were in allegedly crossed over the center line of Highway 47 and collided with a tractor-trailer in the oncoming lanes of the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced Hughes dead after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Anoka County is about 30 miles north of downtown Minneapolis.
