On or about Thursday, October 7th, 2021, around 5:13 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent a Girard man to the hospital. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported in the 13000 block of 52nd Road in Cowley County, Kansas.
Deputies from the Cowley County Sheriff’s Department said Arden Martinie was injured when his car allegedly struck a tractor-trailer that was parked on 52nd Road. Paramedics transported Martinie to a hospital in Wichita for treatment of unspecified injuries. Police did not mention any other vehicles or injuries in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Cowley County is about 44 miles southeast of downtown Wichita.
