On or about Thursday, November 12th, 2020, around 6:30 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a pedestrian left a 63-year-old woman dead. Authorities said the accident happened at the intersection of Ruthrauff Road and Romero Road in Tucson, Arizona.

Officers said 63-year-old Arlene Matus was killed when she was allegedly struck by a box truck that was turning into the westbound lanes of Romero Road from Ruthrauff. Emergency responders pronounced Matus dead of her injuries at the scene of the accident.

Examining the area on Google Maps reveals a T-intersection, with Ruthrauff curving in a northerly direction, while Romero Road runs north and south. The intersection is governed by a stoplight. The intersection is nestled in the northern portion of Tucson.
