On or about Friday, December 3rd, 2021, around 7:30 in the morning, a major accident between a van and a tractor-trailer left one man dead and sent two others to the hospital. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 145 just outside Kerman in Fresno County, California.
Investigators from the area said 53-year-old Armando Flores Cruz was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck his van when it pulled out of a private driveway onto Highway 145. Emergency responders pronounced Cruz dead of his injuries at the scene, while paramedics transported two people from the scene to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
Officials noted conditions were extremely foggy at the time of the accident. which is about 16 miles east of downtown Fresno.
