Details:
On or about Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, around 5:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck left a 74-year-old man dead. Troopers from the WSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 80 just outside Evanston, Wyoming.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 74-year-old Arnold Olguin was killed when his pickup truck allegedly struck the rear of a tractor-trailer that may have been attempting to turn around on Interstate 80. Paramedics pronounced Olguin dead of his injuries after the accident, but did not specify if he died at the scene or if he was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 80 cuts east and west through Evanston, which is about 356 miles west of Cheyanne.
Authorities are still investigating the collision.
