Details:
On or about Monday, December 6th, 2021, around 9:00 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian claimed the life of a 20-year-old man from Rochester. Officials from the area said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 380 in the Town of Groveland, New York.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 20-year-old Ashis Biswa was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that had veered off the side of I-380 and struck two vehicles and Biswa on the shoulder. Emergency responders pronounced Biswa dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. Paramedics transported the driver of the tractor-trailer to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 380 cuts north and south through Groveland, which is about 46 miles south of Rochester.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
