Details:
On or about Friday, April 1st, 2022, around 4:00 in the morning, a serious accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 26-year-old Lubbock man dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 82 just outside Crosbyton in Crosby County, Texas.
Representatives from the Texas DPS said 26-year-old Austin Redder was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle as he was standing at the scene of a previous single-vehicle car accident on Highway 82. Paramedics pronounced Redder dead of his injuries after the accident, but officials did not specify if he died at the scene, or if he was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 7 miles east of Crosbyton.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
