On or about Tuesday, April 26th, 2022, around 6:15 in the evening, a major single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident left a baby dead and sent four other individuals to the hospital. Representatives from the FHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 in Gadsden County, Florida.
Spokespeople from the Florida Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified 5-month-old baby was killed, while four other people were injured when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly lost control while attempting a sharp turn into a rest stop area and rolled. Paramedics pronounced the baby dead a short time after the accident, while four other occupants in the 18-wheeler were treated for injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside of Chattahoochee.
