Details:
On or about Monday, July 8th, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles claimed the life of a 66-year-old Pearland, Texas woman. Officials from the3 LSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 10 in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said 66-year-old Barbara Ann Nance was killed when the car she was in was allegedly rear-ended by a tractor-trailer in stopped or slowed traffic on Interstate 10. Paramedics rushed Nance to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 67-year-old Joseph Guillory, who submitted a toxicology test after the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 runs east and west through the center of Jefferson Davis Parish, which is situated on the east side of Lake Charles.
Police are still examining the cause of the incident.
