Details:
On or about Friday, December 3rd, 2021, around 9:00 at night, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian claimed the life of a 32-year-old Fort Worth man. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported along Highway 377, at or near the intersection with North Broadway Street in Cresson, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said 32-year-old Benito Sanchez-Diaz was killed when he was allegedly struck by a passing vehicle as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross Highway 377 near North Broadway Street. Emergency responders airlifted Sanchez-Diaz to a hospital in Fort Worth where he succumbed to his injuries the following day. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 25 miles southwest of downtown Fort Worth.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
