On or about Tuesday, September 7th, 2021, around 2:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a motorcycle and a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer claimed the life of a 38-year-old man. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported at the intersection of North University Avenue and County Road 6000 in Lubbock, Texas.

Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 38-year-old Benjamin Adams was killed when his motorcycle was allegedly hit by a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer that was attempting a turn at the intersection of County Road 6000 and North University Avenue. Emergency responders pronounced Adams dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene.

According to Google Maps, the intersection of North University Avenue and County Road 6000 is situated on the far north edge of Lubbock.

Police are still investigating.
