Details:
On or about Sunday, March 7th, 2021, around 4:16 in the morning, an accident between a box truck and a car left a 51-year-old Hopkins woman dead. State Troopers said the accident was reported on the westbound side of Interstate 20 in Aiken County, South Carolina.
Police said 51-year-old Beverly Ann Lloyd was killed when her Mazda 626 was allegedly rear-ended by a box truck driven by Safii Dew as she was slowing for traffic. Lloyd was ejected from her vehicle in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Dew did not report injuries following the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 20 runs east and west along the northern edge of Aiken County, which is situated along the eastern edge of Augusta.
Police are still investigating the accident.
