Details:
On or about Monday, April 12th, 2021, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a dump truck and a car left a 60-year-old man dead. Authorities from the OSP said the accident was reported along Redwood Highway in Kerby, Oregon.
Officers said 60-year-old Billy Thornhill was killed when his car was allegedly struck by a dump truck while he was pulling out of a driveway. Emergency responders pronounced Thornhill dead of his injuries after the collision. Police identified the driver of the dump truck as 51-year-old Mark Tripp, who was unhurt in the accident.
The Redwood Highway runs north and south through Kerby, which is about 27 miles southwest of Grants Pass, according to Google Maps.
Oregon State Police assisted at the scene of the accident.
