Details:
On or about Saturday, January 8th, 2022, a serious hit-and-run accident between a passenger vehicle and a man riding a bike left a 50-year-old man dead. Authorities from the area said the accident was reported along Interstate 37 near the intersection with Navigation Boulevard in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Officers from the Corpus Christi Police Department said 50-year-old Bobby Crossland was killed when he was allegedly hit by a vehicle while he was riding his bike alongside or near the exchange of Interstate 37 and Navigation Boulevard. Emergency responders pronounced Crossland dead of his injuries after the accident, but it is not currently clear if he died at the scene or after he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Authorities are still trying to track down the driver of the vehicle that fled after the accident.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the investigation.
