One person was killed after their car travelled off I-35E, through a guard rail and into Lake Lewisville at Copperas Branch Park in Lewisville, TX. First responders from the Lewisville Fire Department say the accident occurred around 3:35 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

The Lewisville Fire Department Dive Team as well as the Texas Game Warden were unable to locate the vehicle until Sunday, when they confirmed one body was found. Authorities believe it was the driver, and lone occupant of the vehicle. The cause of the accident as well as the identity of the driver have yet to be released.
