On or about Wednesday, March 3rd, 2022, around 1:51 in the afternoon, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left a 42-year-old man dead. Spokespeople from the OHP said the accident was reported along U.S. Highway 259 not far from the exchange with Pollard Road in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.

Representatives from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 42-year-old Brandon Ladell Roberts was killed when the Chevrolet Tahoe he was driving allegedly veered over the center line of the roadway and Highway 259. Paramedics pronounced Roberts dead of his injuries after the accident. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Demorcus Deonte Atkins, who was unhurt in the accident.

According to Google Maps, McCurtain County is situated in the southeast corner of Oklahoma.

Authorities are still looking into the cause of the collision.
