Details:
On or about Thursday, February 18th, 2021, around 7:30 in the evening, an accident between an SUV, a tractor-trailer, and a pedestrian left a 30-year-old man dead. Troopers from the GSP said the accident happened along E.G. Miles Parkway near the intersection with Pipkin Road in Hinesville, Georgia.
Georgia State Patrol said 30-year-old Brandon Murphy was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck him while attempting a turn. Murphy was then struck by an SUV which did not stay at the scene. Paramedics pronounced Murphy dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
Authorities believe they are looking for a light colored Chevrolet Tahoe in connection with the incident.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the investigation.
