On or about Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, around 9:08 at night, a major single-vehicle rollover car accident left a 19-year-old dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 62 in Floyd County, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said 19-year-old Brantley Potter was killed when the pickup truck he was in allegedly veered off the side of Highway 62 and rolled several times. Paramedics pronounced Potter dead of his injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not clear if he died at the scene or if he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. Three other people were taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
