On or about Thursday, February 17th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 39-year-old Maryland man dead. Troopers from the VSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 95 in Stafford County, Virginia.
Representatives from the Virginia State Police said 39-year-old Brian A. Brown was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer after he may have exited the truck on the side of the roadway without the driver knowing. Paramedics rushed Brown to a nearby hospital but he succumbed to his injuries before he arrived. Authorities did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 95 winds north and south through Stafford County, which is roughly 66 miles north of Richmond.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
