On or about Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, around 8:55 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles left a 58-year-old man dead. Troopers from the OSHP said the accident was reported along State Route 93 in McArthur, Ohio.
Officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said 58-year-old Brian D. Christensen was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of a vehicle that had slowed to allow an animal to cross the roadway. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer continued onward and struck Christensen’s vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced Christensen dead of his injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is in Vinton County.
Police are still investigating the factors that may have played a role in the accident.
